TrackTrekkers exists because I got tired of buying “highly rated” walking pads that turned out to be loud, flimsy, or nothing like the listing photos promised.

How TrackTrekkers Started

I’m Alex Turner. I’ve spent the last 5 years testing walking pads and under-desk treadmills — because sitting at a desk all day was, quite literally, wrecking my back. I’m based in Austin, TX, work full-time remote, and I’ve personally walked on 40+ models, logging more than 2,000 hours of testing time in my own home office.

I started TrackTrekkers in 2024 to cut through the marketing fluff in this category. Too many “best of” lists online are written from spec sheets and press releases, not from actually using the product. Every review, comparison, and buying guide on this site is based on hands-on testing: I buy the product, use it for a minimum of two to three weeks in my real home office, and measure what can be measured — noise in decibels, belt dimensions, real-world weight capacity — instead of repeating manufacturer claims.
